Welcome!

Welcome to Caps 'Round the Clock, a blog covering the Washington Capitals and the NHL. In season, I update the Blog after every practice and on game day with Caps news and information, and then provide a recap and analysis after each contest. I also write a periodical Prospect Watch and weekly feature pieces on the state of the Men in Red and other things Capitals. And of course, I will post videos and tidbits from around the League and offer my two cents as the season wears on. In the offseason, I write a Report Card for each player, and will keep you updated on all the news about the Caps through the summer. I'm glad you're here, and hope you come back!

Practice Update: Nov. 8

Brooks Laich suffered an upper body injury in yesterday's game and did not play in the third period, nor did he practice with his teammates today.  However, the forward is expected to make the trip to New York and may play against the Rangers tomorrow night.  The injury is not considered serious.

Tom Poti practiced with the team and looks like about "an 80% shot" to play tomorrow.  He will go on the trip.

Semyon Varlamov took shots during practice and worked extra after practice on the ice as he continues to rehab his perpetually wonky groin.  Varly may go on a conditioning stint soon to Hershey, and hopes to be back in net for the Caps sometime in the next week to ten days.

That's all for now.  Check back tomorrow.
