Welcome!

Welcome to Caps 'Round the Clock, a blog covering the Washington Capitals and the NHL. In season, I update the Blog after every practice and on game day with Caps news and information, and then provide a recap and analysis after each contest. I also write a periodical Prospect Watch and weekly feature pieces on the state of the Men in Red and other things Capitals. And of course, I will post videos and tidbits from around the League and offer my two cents as the season wears on. In the offseason, I write a Report Card for each player, and will keep you updated on all the news about the Caps through the summer. I'm glad you're here, and hope you come back!

If You Can Play, You Can Play

Check out this video that was recently released by "You Can Play," a movement that has been launched by Toronto Maple Leafs General Manager Brian Burke and his family in honor of the late Brendan Burke.  Brendan was the student manager of the University of Miami (Ohio) men's ice hockey team and was one of the first to be openly gay and involved with a college hockey team.

Burke made headlines for his groundbreaking3 advocacy of equal rights for LGBT athletes not only in hockey, but across all of professional sports before his tragic death in an automobile accident in February of 2010.  Nevertheless, his legacy and the memory of his advocacy has lived on.
This video was made with the endorsement of NHL stars such as Duncan Keith, Henrik Lundqvist, and Glaude Giroux.

As always, follow me on Twitter here for news and updates.
