Welcome!

Welcome to Caps 'Round the Clock, a blog covering the Washington Capitals and the NHL. In season, I update the Blog after every practice and on game day with Caps news and information, and then provide a recap and analysis after each contest. I also write a periodical Prospect Watch and weekly feature pieces on the state of the Men in Red and other things Capitals. And of course, I will post videos and tidbits from around the League and offer my two cents as the season wears on. In the offseason, I write a Report Card for each player, and will keep you updated on all the news about the Caps through the summer. I'm glad you're here, and hope you come back!

Practice: Mar. 3

The Washington Capitals were on ice Saturday morning following their 5-0 humiliation at the hands of the New Jersey Devils on Friday night. Some updates from Kettler Capitals Iceplex:

Tomas Vokoun, who has not played in the last four games, was absent because of a lower body injury, meaning the PR director Sergey Kocharov was in goal for the skate. This helps explain why Neuvirth was left in despite allowing five goals on Friday. No recalls of a goaltender are planned at this time, but that could obviously change before Sunday night's game.
Brooks Laich also did not practice, taking a maintenance day.  The lines were as follows: Ovechkin-Johansson-Brouwer, Chimera-Perreault-Semin, Knuble-Aucoin-Hendricks, and Beagle-Halpern-Ward.

That's all for now.  As always, follow me on Twitter here for news and updates.
