Welcome!

Welcome to Caps 'Round the Clock, a blog covering the Washington Capitals and the NHL. In season, I update the Blog after every practice and on game day with Caps news and information, and then provide a recap and analysis after each contest. I also write a periodical Prospect Watch and weekly feature pieces on the state of the Men in Red and other things Capitals. And of course, I will post videos and tidbits from around the League and offer my two cents as the season wears on. In the offseason, I write a Report Card for each player, and will keep you updated on all the news about the Caps through the summer. I'm glad you're here, and hope you come back!

Neuvirth to Start

Michal Neuvirth led the Capitals out onto the ice for pre-game warmups this afternoon and it appears that Bruce Boudreau will roll with the young Czech this afternoon in a last-minute switch.  Unless Varly is hurt, this makes little to no sense, as he just led the Caps to the biggest win of their season so far and has been a rock in nets for them recently.  Neuvirth, on the other hand, has not started since January 18th in Philadelphia, where he allowed 1 goal on 8 shots before leaving with a groin injury.  He's got the skill though, so hopefully this one works. Tyler Sloan and DJ King have been confirmed as healthy scratches.
