The Washington Capitals were on ice Monday morning after a day off Sunday as they prepare to try and bounce back from a loss Saturday with a home date with the surging Dallas Stars Tuesday. Some notes from Arlington:
Mike Green practiced fully with his teammates for the first time in over two weeks, rotating in with the other six defensemen on the roster during drills. Per Bruce Boudreau, the defenseman is still "day to day." There was no announcement involving his ability to play Tuesday, but his participation in a full practice is certainly a good sign.
With DJ King's assignment to Hershey, the Caps debuted some new practice lines. The top line reverted to it's normal Ovechkin-Backstrom-Brouwer and the third line remained the same at Ward-Laich-Chimera. The second like, however, had Cody Eakin on it along with Marcus Johansson and Alexander Semin despite Eakin's benching on Saturday, while the fourth line was Hendricks-Halpern-Perreault-Knuble, leaving no obvious healthy scratch for the first time in, like, ever. Depth is a good thing.
That's all for now. Check back later for a game preview.

Welcome!
Welcome to Caps 'Round the Clock, a blog covering the Washington Capitals and the NHL. In season, I update the Blog after every practice and on game day with Caps news and information, and then provide a recap and analysis after each contest. I also write a periodical Prospect Watch and weekly feature pieces on the state of the Men in Red and other things Capitals. And of course, I will post videos and tidbits from around the League and offer my two cents as the season wears on. In the offseason, I write a Report Card for each player, and will keep you updated on all the news about the Caps through the summer. I'm glad you're here, and hope you come back!
