Welcome!

Welcome to Caps 'Round the Clock, a blog covering the Washington Capitals and the NHL. In season, I update the Blog after every practice and on game day with Caps news and information, and then provide a recap and analysis after each contest. I also write a periodical Prospect Watch and weekly feature pieces on the state of the Men in Red and other things Capitals. And of course, I will post videos and tidbits from around the League and offer my two cents as the season wears on. In the offseason, I write a Report Card for each player, and will keep you updated on all the news about the Caps through the summer. I'm glad you're here, and hope you come back!

Gameday: vs. Florida, Dec. 9

The Capitals welcome the Florida Panthers to Verizon Center tonight in a Southeast Division clash.  The Capitals are trying to bust out of a three game losing streak and get the bitter taste out of their mouths from that debacle on Monday night against the Maple Leafs.

Semyon Varlamov is expected to make the start in nets for Bruce Boudreau.  The young russian is 4-1 since returning from a groin injury the day before Thanksgiving.

Bruce Boudreau figures to scratch DJ King from the lineup tonight and re-insert Dave Steckel.  The loss of Jeff Schultz to a broken thumb means that John Erskine will return to the lineup after sitting on Monday.

Puck drops 7:07-ish.  Check back later.

Rapid Rewind might be late...finals week here at school.
