Welcome!

Welcome to Caps 'Round the Clock, a blog covering the Washington Capitals and the NHL. In season, I update the Blog after every practice and on game day with Caps news and information, and then provide a recap and analysis after each contest. I also write a periodical Prospect Watch and weekly feature pieces on the state of the Men in Red and other things Capitals. And of course, I will post videos and tidbits from around the League and offer my two cents as the season wears on. In the offseason, I write a Report Card for each player, and will keep you updated on all the news about the Caps through the summer. I'm glad you're here, and hope you come back!

Gameday: vs. Montreal, Dec. 28

The Capitals welcome the Canadiens to Verizon Center tonight for the first time since the team from Montreal knocked them out of the playoffs last season. The Canadiens are currently in the midst of their traditional holiday road trip, which they are 1-3 on. They sit in 8th in the East.

Semyon Varlamov is expected to get the nod in net for the Caps after his 33-save victory on Sunday. Carey Price, who has started all but 3 of the Habs' games this season, may start, but media speculation out of Montreal says that backup Alex Auld will start because Price has been struggling lately.

Any updates on Caps injuries will come later via this page or via Twitter (@HarryHawkings). Puck drops on the game 7:07ish.
