Welcome!

Welcome to Caps 'Round the Clock, a blog covering the Washington Capitals and the NHL. In season, I update the Blog after every practice and on game day with Caps news and information, and then provide a recap and analysis after each contest. I also write a periodical Prospect Watch and weekly feature pieces on the state of the Men in Red and other things Capitals. And of course, I will post videos and tidbits from around the League and offer my two cents as the season wears on. In the offseason, I write a Report Card for each player, and will keep you updated on all the news about the Caps through the summer. I'm glad you're here, and hope you come back!

Gameday: vs. New Jersey, Dec. 21

The Capitals welcome the New Jersey Devils to Verizon Center tonight as they look to continue their winning ways.  The Devils are currently in 14th place in the East, but have already beaten the Capitals by five goals this year (and have also been beaten by five at Verizon Center).

The Capitals are expected to roll with Michal Neuvirth after he won on Sunday night.  This would be Neuvirth's third consecutive start.  On the other end, the Devils have confirmed that the more mortal Martin Brodeur (2.84, .894) will start for the Devils.

Alexander Semin has been downgraded from questionable to doubtful and is not expected to play, meaning Andrew Gordon will keep his jersey for the time being.  Eric Fehr will miss the contest due to a personal matter, which means that DJ King will likely get a jersey.

Puck drops 7:37-ish.  Check back later.
