Welcome!

Welcome to Caps 'Round the Clock, a blog covering the Washington Capitals and the NHL. In season, I update the Blog after every practice and on game day with Caps news and information, and then provide a recap and analysis after each contest. I also write a periodical Prospect Watch and weekly feature pieces on the state of the Men in Red and other things Capitals. And of course, I will post videos and tidbits from around the League and offer my two cents as the season wears on. In the offseason, I write a Report Card for each player, and will keep you updated on all the news about the Caps through the summer. I'm glad you're here, and hope you come back!

Practice: Oct. 26

The Washington Capitals were on ice Wednesday afternoon inside Rexall Place as they prepare for their game against the Oilers Thursday night.  Some updates from Edmonton:

Mike Green was once again absent from practice because of his sore ankle and it now seems unlikely that he will suit up Thursday night.  Sean Collins will take his place in the event he can't go.  Said Bruce Boudreau, "It doesn't look good."
The lines remained the same as they have for the last week: Ovechkin-Backstrom-Brouwer, Semin-Johansson-Knuble, Chimera-Laich-Ward, and Hendricks-Halpern-Perreault.
Tomas Vokoun has also revealed that he will play Thursday night's game, not Michal Neuvirth as some had thought earlier in the week.  That means Neuvy could make his return to action in Vancouver, certainly not a desirable situation.

That's all for now.  Check back later for my game preview.
Info from Katie Carrera was used in this post.
