The Washington Capitals were on ice Monday morning at Kettler Capitals Iceplex as they attempt to regroup from their disappointing showing last week in western Canada. Some updates from Arlington:
Mike Green once again did not practice, putting his status for Tuesday night's game against the Anaheim Ducks in serious doubt. The defenseman has missed the last nine days with a twisted ankle suffered against the Detroit Red Wings on October 22.
Bruce Boudreau also blew up his bottom three lines in typical Bruce Boudreau fashion, keeping the top unit of Ovechkin-Backstrom-Brouwer intact but switching the other units as follows: Semin-Johansson-Chimera, Hendricks-Laich-Ward, and Perreault-Halpern-Knuble, with DJ King taking extra reps. This is anarchy, I saw. Anarchy!
John Erskine also took reps with Jeff Schultz instead of Sean Collins, meaning that he may have been cleared for contact and could return against the Ducks on Tuesday.
DJ King has also been waived, a request that the winger made to General Manager George McPhee and was granted so he could try and play somewhere else.

That's all for now. Check back later for my game preview.
