Welcome to Caps 'Round the Clock, a blog covering the Washington Capitals and the NHL. In season, I update the Blog after every practice and on game day with Caps news and information, and then provide a recap and analysis after each contest. I also write a periodical Prospect Watch and weekly feature pieces on the state of the Men in Red and other things Capitals. And of course, I will post videos and tidbits from around the League and offer my two cents as the season wears on. In the offseason, I write a Report Card for each player, and will keep you updated on all the news about the Caps through the summer. I'm glad you're here, and hope you come back!

Practice: Apr. 8
Everyone on the active roster practiced today with the exception of Dennis Wideman, who is still believed to be in the hospital with hematoma in his leg. Tom Poti again was the first player on the ice for practice, but he will not play this weekend. Bruce Boudreau would not commit to his presence or absence from the first-round playoff roster.
Mike Green practiced fully again and the plan is still for him to see his first game action in about six weeks tomorrow night in Sunrise. After practice, he said he felt "ready to go." That tells you pretty much all you need to know.
Alexander Semin returned to practice after missing the last two games with what is believed to be a wrist injury. Semin skated on the second line with Jason Arnott and Marco Sturm during practice. The other lines were Ovechkin-Backstrom-Knuble, Laich-Johansson-Chimera, Hendricks-Gordon-Bradley, and King-Beagle-Fehr.
Bruce Boudreau would not tip his hand for tomorrow night's lineup, however, saying that it will largely depend on whether or not the Flyers win tonight and the Caps clinch the top seed in the East (that happens if Philadelphia loses).
That's all for now. Enjoy your Friday!
