Welcome!

Welcome to Caps 'Round the Clock, a blog covering the Washington Capitals and the NHL. In season, I update the Blog after every practice and on game day with Caps news and information, and then provide a recap and analysis after each contest. I also write a periodical Prospect Watch and weekly feature pieces on the state of the Men in Red and other things Capitals. And of course, I will post videos and tidbits from around the League and offer my two cents as the season wears on. In the offseason, I write a Report Card for each player, and will keep you updated on all the news about the Caps through the summer. I'm glad you're here, and hope you come back!

Boucher Rips Disallowed Goal

Check out this rather scary video from last night, as Lightning bench boss Guy Boucher comments on the his team's disallowed goal which gave the Capitals momentum.  Boucher, who is regarded as one of the favorites for the Jack Adams award this season, went on to say how he "doesn't care" about "anything Bruce Boudreau has to say."  Them fighting words.  The video does not show his scar, which makes it a little less intimidating, but I can now say with full confidence that Guy Boucher is the last person I want to be in a dark alley with. Yikes.

  1. While I agree that Boucher is one intense dude, I bet McPhee wouldn't back down from him. As for the calling out the refs, it is evident that Boudreau's words earlier yesterday had an effect on how the game was called. While the interference could have gone either way IMHO, it clearly looked like it could have been one of the "dives" that BB spoke of. What Guy should be more worried about is second guessing himself on why he doesn't unleash Stamkos, St Louis and LeCav upon a mega-rookie goalie in the S/O. BB had it right going with his stars Ovi, Semin and likely would have been Nick if he were on the bench - but still had Laich, Arnott, Sturm, Knubbs and Matty H in the ready... what a donk Guy was in the S/O
