Welcome!

Welcome to Caps 'Round the Clock, a blog covering the Washington Capitals and the NHL. In season, I update the Blog after every practice and on game day with Caps news and information, and then provide a recap and analysis after each contest. I also write a periodical Prospect Watch and weekly feature pieces on the state of the Men in Red and other things Capitals. And of course, I will post videos and tidbits from around the League and offer my two cents as the season wears on. In the offseason, I write a Report Card for each player, and will keep you updated on all the news about the Caps through the summer. I'm glad you're here, and hope you come back!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The Washington Capitals have today off following games on two consecutive nights and three of the last four.  The Caps are in New Jersey and will return to the ice tomorrow morning for their pre-game skate at the Prudential Center as they prepare to take on the New Jersey Devils that evening.
As such, there are no updates on any of the injured Capitals.  More on that will be coming tomorrow morning.  One update, via Mike Vogel, is that Mike Green has skated at home each of the last two days as he works his way back from a concussion.  Green is eligible to return in Philadelphia on March 22.
In non-hockey related news, it's St. Patrick's day today!  A very happy patron day of drinking stuff to all my readers.  Grab your Guinness or your favorite non-alcoholic beverage and enjoy time with friends and family.  Do you think Alex Ovechkin made green vodka for the boys?  I certainly do.

Make sure you check out tonight's game between the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning.  It will be an excellent game and will have a big impact on the Capitals' chances at the Southeast Division.  Go Canadiens!
